VirtualBox is Free and Open Source  Virtualization software available for Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris platforms.

Once you install VirtualBox you can create virtual machines in which you can install and run other Operating Systems. So you can run Windows Vista on you Mac, or Windows 7 on Windows Vista, or Ubuntu and Solaris on Windows XP, or all of the above at the same time on the same PC.
